Hey guys this may be a dumb question. I just recently put a 3” front and 2” rear lift with 285/70/17 KO2 BFG. I’ve also installed Freedom Off-road UCA’s. I’m getting some major rubbing on the inside wheel well. Could this be since I haven’t done alignment yet?

Start with alignment, those are expensive tires and you need to ensure they don't wear off.

Ask for the most caster they can acheive.

You will likely need a cab mount chop (CMC) but you need a 4WA.

An alignment has absolutely nothing to do with those tires rubbing on the fender

4runners are different, you usually trim the front inner liner on a 4runner.

I've never trimmed a tacoma fender liner, they usually rub the cab mount. If the caster is 0 it will rub the rear liner.

Take the black liner out and your problem is gone

And I did the same on my Tacoma. I align the vehicles myself as I am also a technician

Taking out a fender liner is basically giving up.

No because there’s basically nothing that’s going to get damaged when you take a fender liner out especially if you will it

Wheel it. I’ve had mine off for over 4 years now And it’s absolutely the cheapest way and the easiest way

Except wiring to fogs, abs, washer pump etc. Are you sure you're a tech?

Yessss sir, those worries are for the weak minded and people that don’t know how to repair things IF they are ever damaged. Like I said, 4 years now and still lot a problem or a “broken” wire to anything

You’re also talking about a $20 piece of plastic that just blocks water lol

It’s rubbing on the bottom of the frame. I did some trimming on the plastic already
