I would absolutely love to get a lift next year. But I have to pay off some debts with my bonus, because my girlfriend probably won’t marry me if I don’t. Oh wells.

Someone fast and experienced could do it in 7 hours I’d say. So at least $1000

Yes, i have heard the same. I wanted to go the hydro route, but i dont think theyre carrying them anymore. I kinda expect the chirp to come at some point, i can live with it though, my exhaust is loud enough to drown it out:D

Having a lift in the garage makes maintenance easier and a lot more convenient!

No pics of the Tacoma on it but, obviously, it can't go quite as high as the Shelby or BMW.

If you have the space, they're more affordable than most folks think. Due to space constraints, I went with Direct-Lift's Pro Park 8S. It's ALI-certified (important for safety). Delivered and installed, it was $3K. I added a Pro Jack 3500, for another $500, bringing the grand total to $3.5K.

@o0opackersfano0o have about 1500 miles on the clutch and so far i am loving it. Firmer pedal feel, which i like, but not difficult by any means, just a nice upgrade over the soft stock pedal feel. Clutch is very streetable, but also grabs hard whenever you need it to, unlike the stock one, this one does not slip when going between shifts, it engages hard and holds good. Going to take some getting used to when speed shifting, but i can take care of that. Also love the lightweight flywheel. Revs noticeably faster in first and second gears, yet is still very drivable once you have the clutch broken in. Break in process is a bit painful with the lightweight flywheel since it wants to stall out easily, but it just takes some getting used to. Now that i can slip it just ever so slightly, it is a piece of cake. Keep in mind i live in the hill country, so i am constantly taking off from red lights on an incline, so break in might not be as painful for you. I would go with this combo again without hesitation. Let me know if you have any questions in particular, im more than happy to try and answer them

Thanks for the great write-up and the break-in update! I'm curious whether the lightweight flywheel made any difference with the truck's dreaded "rev-hang"?

Awesome. Glad you like it! I think I have to wait till spring now to install mine at work. Not going to try to do it at home in the garage when I have lifts at work.

Good call, thatll make things much easier. Are you still running the stock clutch in yours? And if so, how many miles does it have on it?

    Some of the things...
Im running the stage 3 with just a factory resurfaced flywheel and urd tob kit and it's stellar. My review was posted on the urd site for the clutch actually. I was running the stage 2 and the heavy flywheel but between the altitude, undergearing, and need for power I ditched the heavy flywheel and regeared. I'd imagine the light weight flywheel would suck hard for wheeling but I bet the truck loves the lower mass. Keep @Gadget@URD in the loop on your next review as I'm sure he'd love the feedback.

Yeah i wouldnt go with the lighweight if i wheeled the truck. Mine is strictly a pavement princess and ive got stock sized tars. I should go on urd's website and write my review. May go ahead and do that

What is the black strip right above your grille on the hood? I kinda wonder about doing that on mine.

I dunno what’s in it. It has 132k on it now. I’m the second owner. Never slipped on me tho. I have the original owners number still we still talk. I gotta ask him if he ever replaced it

That sir is a bug deflector. It is the stick on type.. previous owner installed it, i like it personally so i left it on. Some of them stick up, but this one sits flat

Made by AVS. I believe the acronym stands for automotive vent shade or something like that

With as much power as youre making, im guessing they replaced it with something better than stock, mine didnt last long after adding the blower, and im not too hard on a clutch.

I did this exact same swap.....URD Flywheel, URD Stage 3 and a new TOB. I've got well over 3,000kms on it now and it has really seated in good. I can get on it hard now and no slipping.

As for the flywheel, I noticed a big difference in the revs. I think it is more noticeable with no supercharger (my old X-Runner wasn't S/C and I had the same flywheel/clutch combo) but it is still as great upgrade.

Good write up though. I wish I had this a while ago when I was doing mine.

Wait... yours is already slipping?? Or did you meant to write not slipping?
