    I know it's an old post but I just want to say the current 4.0 has plenty of guts to do the job it's intended to do. You could always want MORE but for daily driving it's very sufficient with what it has. When it comes to midsize there is not any better out there, so if ya need more go ahead & get full size, it only makes sense.

    One can never have too many light bars.
    As long as every other manufacturer keeps making shit midsize trucks Toyota has no reason to spend billions of dollars to rush a new truck to market. The current model may be outdated by Toyota's standards but it's still miles ahead of any other truck in it's class.

    Ok, more power is never a bad thing I agree! I'm just saying that for the size of our trucks it's sufficient & being they are not meant to be racing machines, they hold there own very well for daily requirements. :)

    Has anyone ever done or seen a 1GR-FE Dual VVTi engine swap into a 2nd gen? What would need to be done to get it to work?

    when I need more power I attach a skewp and red TRD sticker

    traffic just pulls over for me and all the lights are green

    but ...later I go back to non-skewp and remove the sticker,
    because it's quite frankly embarassing to be this damn hard all the time
