150k on my 2014. No issues with 5k oil changes. Could use more power when hauling

15K on signature series. I’m running XL every 6 months 6000-7500 miles. What oil filter are you using?

I've had my 07 since new. It has 301,000 miles currently.

To date, I've had to have the pulleys and tensioner replaced, both wheel bearings replaced, tail shaft seal replaced, lower oil pan replaced, serpentine belt replaced, and timing cover gasket replaced.

I've also gone through four sets of tires and three batteries. I've had oil changes done every 5k miles.

I've had the "major service package" (which entails having all fluids replaced, new filters, and spark plugs) done every 100k miles.

I've also had the front brakes done twice.

The truck runs great and doesn't leak. I hope I can get another 100k miles out of it.

Very nice. Just curious, have you replaced your alternator?

im in the process of still trying to figure out issues with mine, whether its in the motor or what. at 100k now.. bad vibrations that nobody can explain. (not driveline related). bad drones at various rpms that nobody can explain. Now I have a light tapping/knocking sound that I don't know where its coming from at around 1000 rpm under low to no load. Hear it idling along, or if I rev it slightly its quite noticeable. In the process of trying to diagnose some issues with a local shop. He use to work at a Toyota dealership, but runs a wrecker service and is extremely busy.. So far,,, I really want to like this truck.. but I HATE driving it because of all these stupid issues that nobody can explain and I cant find any info about.

Just shy of 80k on my 2013 Tacoma Off Road. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30 and change the oil and filter every 5k miles. I replaced the manual transmission fluid, transfer case, front and rear differentials all with redline fluids at 30k miles. Planning to change those all again at 90k. As far as parts replacements go, I've replaced the windshield wipers twice (that passenger side one seems to start to tear along the rubber blade edge every 2-3 years), I put on a new set of tires right around the 60k mile mark, and just recently replaced the battery for the first time. Bought the truck new at the end of 2012, and it is almost exactly seven years since then, so that battery lasted a good long time. I rotate the tires every time I do an oil change, and check the brakes when I do. Still running the factory pads, and they -still- look like they have about 60% pad left. All in all, I've been well pleased with this pickup, and not had any major issues to speak of with it.

Tbh, and I know I'll get some heated feedback, but, I only get my truck serviced at a Toyota Dealership. Yes, they charge an arm and a leg for their service, but they know these trucks inside out, and can usually find the issue and fix it without wasting time. At least that has been my experience with my local dealership.

So if you haven't, have a stealership do a diagnostic to see what they come up with, and have the repairs done elsewhere.

Have your oil analyzed. It may tell you if somethings wrong.

Bought my 2015 with 30K miles, currently 83K. Typical stuff. Spark plugs, transmission oil twice. Just recently added a deeper transmission pan which added 2.5 qrts more atf. Suspension is due. Probably next year.

196k on my 2006. Bought with 65k ten years ago.

Not a single engine related issue. Original water pump/alternator/original everything.

Rest of the truck: two front wheel bearings, one u joint. That’s it for repairs. Amazingly reliable truck. It is now mostly used for hunting and was my main truck for 7 years. It has NOT been babied at all but has been meticulously maintained by me.

Spark plugs every 30-40k, Mobil 1 5/30 EP every 5k, drain and fill transmission every 40-50k, front/rear diffs every 25-50k with Amsoil severe gear same as transfer case. Coolant was drained and filled around 120k.

Still getting 19-22mpg, best truck I have owned
Still on original suspension as well as upper and lower control arms.

I’m surprised it’s still got the original brakes....

Not a fan of my dealership. Basically blow me off, say its normal, then try to charge me. They also cracked my balancer replacing the front seal.

Maybe go in like you're looking to upgrade, see what they find wrong with your trade-in at that point.

Bought my 2012 with 35k. Put 50k on it in two years. Just follow the maintenance schedule that comes with it and you’ll be good. I change my trans fluid more often because I tow frequently. But it has never skipped a beat.
