It's a scan tool. Plugs into odb2 and wirelessly connects to your smartphone. Portable, user friendly, tons of information, recall notices, service bulletin info, free repair reports, free updates. Highly recommend.

if they can PROVE it cauzed failure to an item then the warranty for such item can be shitcanned..... burden of proof lies on the dealership tho.

Reread my post. I didn't say it voided the whole warranty. Definately part of it, and would likely create issues with other parts of the warranty.

Guys, as stated above, NOTHING voids your warranty. If a OEM part on your truck fails and its under warranty, the dealer ship is reauired to prove under the Magnuson-Moss (is that right? Something like that) Act that your aftermarket part caused a failure in an OEM part. Dont let a dealer walk over you and just say "Oh you have headers, that caused your engine to explode". They have to have proof that is the case or its a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Example, my clutch it about done, took it to the dealer already knowing the answer but figured I'd give it a try, guy says "It'll be covered under warranty, but we have to pull the rpm and boost records. If you redlined it or your boost is over what it should be, Toyota will shoot the warranty down" I walked away at that point, but I had confirmation of what I was thinking. Example on the flip side- had my battery fail a year after I got my prerunner, they started saying it was my fault and aftermarket stuff causes it...I had no afternarket stuff and hadn't left any lights on. Took them 4 hours but suddenly I had a brand new battery and no more words were said.

You are very welcome! I really like to spread that info as much as possible. So many people, including myself in the beginning, are under the inpression that any change to their vehicle 'voids' their warranty and a dealer will tell them to fuck off. To the uninformed consumer and shitty dealers, thats probably the case alot of times. Dealer hate HATE HATE warranty work, because they dont make any money off of it. So if they can get you to walk away or pay for it, theyre gonna do whatever they can. However, also remember, alot of our mods, especially powertrain mods, are pretty much a good excuse for a dealer to deny a warranty claim. An aftermarket CAI could potentially cause a lean out on your engine, bam warranty denied if your engine dies. Is it going to happen? Chances are pretty slim, but there is a remote possibility. Just throwing that out there to keep in mind.

My CAI will be taken off and OEM replaced prior to going to the dealer if something like that does happen (I really hope it doesn't) just saying

Haha yea same here, but they still might be able to tell if they were to pull ECU records. But I highly doubt an unboosted truck is gonna blow anything replacing performance stuff.

Yep, your ECU records all of it apparently. Or maybe just out of norm records

Sounds like passing inspection will not be a problem for me. Im just thinking worst case scenario I go through all the trouble and spend all the money and the truck fails inspection I will be up a creek without a damn paddle

How come no one has mentioned the URD headers? According to their dyno, they improve hp throughout the RPM band. No trade-offs between lower and upper RPM.

I've enjoyed my URD headers. nice consistent power (at least thats what my butt tells me). The truck pulls harder in the higher RPM range and gets up and out of the way at freeways speeds.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I'm the one that posted those Magnaflow headers originally. I don't think they are going to be inferior to the DT's as far as performance as Magnaflow is a performance exhaust company. However as far as price the link I supplied is only for one side, so take that price and multiply it X2

You may want to research URD. They have LT Headers for 1GR-FE, Tacoma, 2012-2015 V6 that increase Torque and HP through out the entire RPM range.
