I decided to replace mine recently, 140K, I always verify the one-way action on pcvs I remove and before I install one. The 140K unit still rattled but wouldn't seal completely in the cutoff direction. The OEM replacement was cheap and the truck idles noticeably smoother. I wouldn't have classified it as rough idling prior to the swap but it's very smooth idling now. Other then that I can't tell a difference.

I think I will be doing this over the weekend if my local dealership has the parts.

:EDIT: Local Stealership wants $49.63 for both PCV Valve & Hose!

Camelback Toyota has good prices but the shipping makes it expensive as well(still cheaper than my local dealership).

Any idea where I could buy the OEM Parts and not pay so much for shipping?

I just drove to the dealership...but it's 2 mile away from me. I paid full price $7.90 for the valve, cash, right at the counter

For the hose I just cut a length off some my dad had in the garage. Think it came from autozone. It's a bit tighter fit too. I think it'll be better. I used some AT-205 to slip the hose on. All rubber loves that stuff and soaks it up.

Toyota offers free shipping for purchases over $75. Good Luck!

Just did mine on my 2014 yesterday. It was the original and wanted to note it was on crazy-tight. I had to move from the 3/8 ratchet to the 1/2 and even then took some nuts to get it off. I definitely just snugged it back up lightly to prevent damage in the future.

Thought I'd post an update...It's been about three month since I swapped the PCV and my P0420 hasn't come back. Fingers crossed it lasts. Good Luck!

Strange. The dealers here in my area usually can get parts overnight from Jacksonville with zero shipping charges.
