Right now I have stock 3.33 gear in the rear end and I run 31x10.5x15 tires. Its slow as shit. I am finding 3rd members at local junkyards from prerunners with 4.10 gears for around $400. Which is around the same cost as re-gearing my truck. $200 gears $200 labor. I like to go the swapping 3rd members, because I could possibly sell my stock 3rd member as well...

According to tire size calculator my RPM right now with current gears and tires at 65mph is 2334 with 4.10 gears it would be 2898... Stock Tacoma Prerunners come with 245/75/16 tires which air hair smaller than 31's I have. So technically 4.10 gears should be perfect.

My question is... Will 4.10 gears be enough for 31x10.5x15 tire? I am NOT planning on getting larger tires. My truck is a work truck and right now its almost too high.

Yeah, 4.10s ought to run nice with 31" tires.
