Does anyone know if the 4.10 rear end, available on some 4 cy Tacos, can be ordered or dealer upgraded into a new 4.0L V6 4X4 auto transmission + towing pkg Taco instead of the stock 3.73? I'm planning on towing in the mountains and looking for a little more torque. I'm considering the TRD supercharger, but thought the 4.10 might be better.

It would be at less expensive to have a shop install a new 4.10 ring an pinion in the rear (and front, if 4WD). It was about $250 for the install in the front (when I had my jeep done a few years back). The r/p should cost between $180-$250.

Check out East Coast Gear Supplies site. I got my 4.88's and ARB front locker from them. I ordered the pre-assembled diffs and then swapped the diffs out myself.
