I'm new to this site just had a question about changing my gears .I am running 35 inch tires now with stock gears.I have the offroad package on my 2006 tacoma prerunner i was wondering if any one knew if the job was harder to do being that i have the dif locks in the rear or is just swapping the new gears out with the old ones.

I would check with some others here, but I have heard that if you have the E-locker, changing the gears is not an option. I may be wrong however.

Hey, like I said, I may be wrong. It was just something I had heard. That is why I posted it like that. Don't drag out the rope and horse yet!...lmao

Yeah. Sometimes I hear something and haven't researched it yet. I should have before I made the post. Oh well. Just shows I am human, and willing to accept when I am wrong. It was something about how the larger gear ratio might get in the way of the locker due to close clearances. Oh well...live and learn!
