    Good working order, no issues. Worked great on my 4x4 with 35" tires.

    But not any 4Runner as 09 and down either had 8" elocker or 8" TV6 non elocker.

    Also fits 1st gen Tundra w/o mods. The pinion flange will have to be redrilled to work with a 2nd gen. And yes will not work with 4runners.

    If you have larger tires, or plans for them, its time to regear!

    I’d love a regear, but I don’t think I’ve seen the matching front to go with it.

    They seem to be elusive. I got the front and rear (this one) from a yard on ebay. He said he had more fronts available. I can ask tomorrow. @BartMaster1234

    I’d probably do 4.88 if I had to regear as I already have 4.30 - this would be a great upgrade for anyone with 4.10 though.

    I have 32's, but I have the four cyl supercharger too so the regear would help a lot.

    The 4.56 gears with the 2.4 made a huge difference. I highly recommend getting them.

    anyone have the 4.56 gear with 33’s? I don’t want my rpms to be too high on the highway

    I had this 4.56 on the truck for 1 day with 33s before going to 35s. I have the V6 with automatic transmission, and felt the rpms were a little high on the freeway. I dont remember the exact rpm, maybe 2750, for sure less than 3000. The truck did move very quickly and easily from a stop/low speeds. If you do alot of rock crawling type driving, this would be a good ratio.

    You might want to look up auto vs manual overdrive gear ratios, maybe it will be ok with a 5 speed V6 and 33s. Otherwise consider larger tires. 4 cylinder is another story.

    Also, I was told 4.56 was not a good choice for 35s and to only consider 4.88 or 5.29. After using the 4.56, I have to disagree. It's nearly perfect, very close to 4.10 and 31s over all, maybe a 31.25~. I'm sure some will disagree.

    This is a good approximate representation.
    31s with 4.11 ratio = 2896
    35s with 4.56 ratio = 2845
    Difference = -51 rpm
    31s with 4.11 ratio = 2896
    35s with 4.88 ratio = 3045
    Difference = +149 rpm

    Basically, you can see the 4.56 with 35s is closer to a stock ratio than 4.88 with 35s. Both will obviously work.

    yea I’m on the highway a lot going at least 70 but most the time 75 or 80. I think my rpms are at around 2300 with 265/75/16 my stock gears are 3.73 but want to move up to 285s soon

    Shooting from the hip, you probably want 4.10 or 4.30 gear ratio, assuming 3.4 V6 auto. @_anthony_
