Nope, I was wrong... 4.6 is not mated to the a750.

As others said, you keep your tranny and you forget that 5k for the SC doesn't include install and tuning. If I didn't live in Commiefornia ere you aren't allowed to use an engine that's older than the car it goes into I would do this. But I have a 2011...

Which tranny does the 4.6L mate to? Might be interesting to look at still. The 5.7L required wayyyy to much fab work to fit into a Tacoma but it has been done.
V8 beats supercharged V6 any day... even if it has the flu...

Hey OP, several times people have dropped the Toyota 4.7L in Tacos that already had the A750. TRD even made a project truck for SEMA like that but it was a cobbled together piece of shit...

I would love to do this but I have a stick shift so not really an option for me. This is probably just another dreamer thread (there are tons in here like it) but it can definitely be done for the cost of a supercharger!

I have a buddy that dropped a 4.7 into a 97 4Runner with a manual transmission. I think He got a bell housing from Advanced Adaptors.

Bell housing isn't the problem. The RA60 (the designation for the stick shift equivalent to the A750)bolts to the engine also, but as far as I know, nobody makes a flywheel for the 4.7L V8. And the ECU in the automatic transmission controls the engine sooo.... even if I could get past those hurdles it would not be road legal in California because the engine can't be older than the car it goes into.

If your buddy has a build thread somewhere online I'd like to see it tho

No build thread. It was bad ass though SAS on 37's. He sold it to a guy a couple years ago and told him to drive it easy on the road. The guy said no problem it wasn't his first 4X4. Two weeks later he rolled it going down the freeway.
My buddy lives up in Oregon so no smog BS.

If you're going to swap in a V8, go big or go home. 5.7 V8 plus the Supercharger down the road.
