    Hahaha I might know a thing or two about them too . . . . . . . but anyway YES. Transmission gears and diff gears are seperate so manual or auto does not matter. Obviously u can not compare mph between the two because they both have different gear ratios in the trans but what u r looking for in the diff gears remains the same: trying to match stock gear ratio as close as possible to whatever size tire u r running. I think why most people in this thread have a manual is because most 4 cyl are manuals

    Damn what the hell now I'm confused too...I'm running stock gears, same 32s and I'm almost at 2500 rpm at 65 in 5th gear :confused:

    I have 33's with 4.88's it's a bit buzzy (4 cyl + custom exhaust)
    I'm looking for 4.56's it brings the rpm to within 20 rpm from 4.30 and stock tires
    mpg with 33's is about 17 mpg
    265/75/16 + 4.30 = 22 mpg
    going back to a 32 and my 4.30
    $4.00 a gallon +
    anyone want some procomp muders
    and a 4.88 rear with locker?
    (if I find a set of 4.56's I'm keeping the 33"s)

    Depends on how you go about it. If you call up eastcoast gear supply and do their core exchange program with a rear locker it costs about 2300. I went that route because I've never setup gears before and didn't want to screw it up. If you're comfortable setting up your gears or taking it to a local shop you could get it done for less than half that without including the price of the locker.

    They don't. They rhino line it.

    Its a very worthwhile thing to do if u mud a lot or water cross a lot and have a old truck that the doors leak on. Ive had my truck in water above the hood and never had water enter the cab. Sounds like a waste on a new vehicle, weathertech floormats would be a lot more logical to go with
