I cant decide on the eibach or the ome 885s. either one should give me the 2.5 inches I want but i am having trouble finding what will be best.

    Wildly inaccurate.

Simply put, do you notice STOCK trd sports and offroads being taller than non trd 6 lugs?

Id also like to see bilstein saying 5100s being intended for non trd coils.

Funny enough, for yrs on here people have said the trd sport and non trd model 6lug use the same coils.

Ome had an issue with their scragging process years ago, its been fixed for awhile. So if it was the sagging u were concerned of, dont be.

To the best of my knowledge trd off road coils are different, than non off road models. I got at least 1.75" on the 0.85" setting. My truck went from thisimage.jpg

    To thisimage.jpg

    Rear tsb springs, 3+1

I love the ride from my 885 coils. I've read that the Eibach coils ride firmer - which many people like for on road driving.

TRD OR models have a progressive rate spring. The rest of the 6 luggers share a linear rate spring. All have the same ride height stock, except Pro and Baja, which have a different setup altogether.

That's why I'm going with the 887, the spring rates are the same the only difference is the 887 is 400 mm in length compared to 395 for the 885

I would hit up Marie at Headstrong. You'll get good info. There's no guarantees with lift heights though so itsba catch 22 to some degree as it's only approximate

I called Bilstein directly and asked them about using the 5100s with the TRD coils. Turns out, its fine to use the TRD/5100 setup with 2nd gens and up. The first gens are the only models that you will run into problems with that set up.

Good to know. What is your hub to fender ride height with the TSB? I have been contemplating getting mine done soon, but I dont want to loose my rear height due to my AAL. But, if it turns out to be the same, I should just get it done and I wont need a new AAL for the TSB. I have the exact same truck as you so it will be nice to see what your measurements are. Getting 885 coils soon, so I want to keep my level about the same after TSB if I decide to do it.

The new springs won't gain you any height over the previous leafs. I had mine replaced, and the new 3+1 leafs measured the same height as the 10 year old 2+1's they replaced.

It totally depends on how bad your original leaf springs were. My tsb springs gained a good inch or more over the sagged out stock springs. Even the tsb springs sag after a year and if you haul with the truck.

So you're saying it settled to 2.5"?

Once I dropped the 5100s down to the 1.75 setting after getting 4 inches on the 2.5 setting, I got 3 inches. Then I drove it around a few miles and it settled to about 2.5 on each side. Hoping to get 2.5 inches after the 885 install soon.

Correct. Going on the assumption that your springs aren't shot. My point was the new springs don't gain any height over the old ones, as they did with some of the previous versions of TSB springs.

OP has a 2005, in what I've seen I'd bet money they are shot and sagged out. My friend has a 2013 and they were toast. These trucks came with weak leafs if you use the bed of your truck to haul anything.
