Oh shoot, my bad totally was looking at another Tacoma setup exactly like yours I follow as well on IG lol. 2.7 crew!!!

How do you think the 2.7s and 5.29 will work for 37s? I know you have 35s now.

Sucks for me in a third gen - I don’t like 5.29 would cut it for 37s. 35 max for me.

Well according to grimmer my final rpms with 5.29 and 37s would be lower than with 35s. Plus I'm adding a taco box at some point so that will take care of any issues that arise in 4wd. It's all trial and error

I thought about it, but it’s (IMO) a somewhat useless size other than if you just want a “look.” If I want 12 wides I’m going 315

I was just thinking it has the width with plenty of height for me, but will also be functional without a huge amount of trimming

Well, that’s what I meant lol. The width isn’t really useful over a 285 IMO. Unless of course for looks, which is what I said lol. 315s you just don’t have a choice, They’re 12 wide. You’re still going to have to trim plenty with 305s - more than 285s.

Again, all personal taste, I just don’t see the appeal other than for looks.

    Good luck

I think you're going to get more rubbing than you think with the 305/70/17. I rub the mount a little at full lock so taller tires will rub even more.

I know I'll have a decent amount of rub, but with a CMC and my aftermarket UCAs I think I should be in OK shape with some additional trimming

Fenders 2.5" pinch weld smash, firewall smash. You'll also loose your plastic fender liners in the front
