4 banger pics

First time on 3 wheels with the new 4banger. Felt like a good milestone to hit.

I'm assuming you added those tires/wheels aftermarket. If so, 1) what size are they? 2) did it have any effect on performance?

I'm asking because I've got my stock 16" wheels and tires, but I'd like to get some bigger tires on them, but I'm also hesitant to do anything that will make my 2.7 even more sluggish.

265/70/17 BFG KO2s. I'll be going up to 33s next (285/70/17). But I'm lifted front and rear for the 33s. You can get away with the 265 stock because thats what the Sport, OR comes with. A little more sluggish, but it's not a race car. It's my build for trails and getting me into desolate camping areas.

1989, 22re, 5spd, 4.88s, 35's, full race kit, engine cage up front, SUA Deaver full bed cage and long travel in the rear.

That little monster had 222xxx on the clock all original. I would pack that thing up for the weekend drive out 2 hours to the desert, set up my tent and beat the piss out of it all weekend and drive it home. I miss that little truck

My work in progress daily. Original motor went at 147k and seems it’s week by week on replaceing something‍♂️ Currently waiting on ECGS bushing to arrive!

Thanks! No it’s 2wd. All I need for the fire roads I do for camping. May look into a rear locker here soon.

 

Awesome! Mine is also 2WD and looking to go out on some dirt roads here in the desert. Any recommendations or suggestions for mods/builds that you’ve found helpful or that make it a little more capable off-road?

Took my son up to Big Bear after school for a father / son camping trip. We went up the 38 and did the Thomas Hunting Grounds trail up to the yellow post campsite. In the morning, we finished the trail and did 1N45 (Seven Oaks Rd) before heading home. We got to see a brown bear and a bobcat on the trail. Nothing like spending quality time with my son out in nature!
