Will do i think the 235 for the 4 banger should be perfect, i will have them on in a few weeks. This is a 265/75 10.4''W next to a 235/85 9.3''W rolling resistance difference should be felt. I am not sure i know what 225 tire would come in that size. I know ive seen 215/85/16 which is basically factory height tire just thinner at 8.5''. I have a slight lift .65'' front and stage 2 icon pack in the rear so i like the slightly taller tire. The truck does not struggle with the 265 especially after regearing but it could be better i think the 235 will be the ticket, that and OTT has some new changes to the 2.7 tune which i hope can see some decent gains. The tune is already a big step in the right direction as is but some good things in the works.

Thanks for posting. I was about to pull the trigger until I thought of gearing problems. 265/75/16 is a big speedometer difference but not as bad as 255/85/16 on my truck, compared to stock. Should I just get 245/75/16 and stick with stock size, or would 265/75/16 work okay with not much difference in gearing?

I’m kind of set on BFG K02’s, they are a little lighter in the 245/75/16 but still load E. I just really like the look of them and my dad swears by them. He’s gotten 70k from his last set and is going on 50k on his current set on his f150

A 265/75/16 is not a big speedo difference only off 1-3 at 70-80 and it doesnt help the already bad out of the box gearing on these trucks, in my opinion i think its a little too wide of a tire for a stock auto 2.7 the 5 speed as stated you could get away with 32's no problem. Great tire but it’s heavy for the size a lot of other good options the bfg’s likely look the best but I’d rather better driveability. They weigh 48lbs my bigger 265/75/16 cooper at3 4s are only 41. Cooper in the same 245 size is only 35lbs you will feel 12lbs extra per wheel. I would either go with a 235/85/16 firestone destination xt which is taller but thinner than the stock tire and same height as a 265 that is 40lbs, or a lighter weight 245/75/16 AT 35-40lbs. The stock size tires in a ATs will make the truck drive the best but you can get away with the 235 for a better looking taller tire and thats a tough E rated tire as well.

Picked up my new cap today and the 235's in the short distance it drives great, very soft ride for an E rated tire and there is a noticeable difference in rolling resistance id say 45 mph+ im less into the pedal you can feel the engine is under less load highway driving way more pleasant. It feels fine on the highway maybe a little more twitchy but after a few miles youd adjust. Corners just fine i, slightly worse than the wider 265. Its funny how much of a difference is felt especially since i switched wheels back to my sr's which are 6lbs heavier a wheel. So the new tires are 1lb less than my previous cooper 265/75/16 at3 4's but my per corner is about 5lbs heavier than before. Goes to show a few lbs of wheel weight is not a big deal, heck look at stock sr's with steelies which i think weigh around 32lbs that a big hike up from the my stockers 23.5lb. I believe this size is the way to go for the 2.7 who wants a slightly bigger tire without totally killing the drive ability. They look good but since they are skinny with the factory sr offset it sticks in the fender too much for my taste. Im going to be putting on 1.25 spacers that will make it just right, If i didint have fender flares i think i could get away without spacers. Also included a picture of the new tires with my old 265/75/16 coopers.

Great information! Appreciate you taking the time to write it.
I was thinking more about rolling resistance decrease and traction gains than about any weight changes. Glad the weight wan't my focus I guess.
Also, lucky for me, I don't have flares, so no spacers needed.

Thanks again and keep posting observations as you experience them.

I've had it since 2013 and put the URD SC in it last year.

Baseline dyno numbers: 128 rwhp, 152 rwtq
Final numbers: 240 rwhp, 250 rwtq

Now for some new wheels. I'm thinking bronze and the brighter rather than the dark bronze. Any suggestions?

SCS Ray 10’s in copper if you can find them.

I have the bronze NV305’s from Method and they’re pretty shiny when clean, but the copper Ray 10’s are gorgeous
