Ok, tire size and brand!! They look SWEET!!
The tires are Defininty Dakota MT's from Pep boys. Size is 265/75-16. I have two sets of factory steel rims, these and the others with the stock dunlops. I swap the tires out when I head to my hunting lease to traverse the old logging roads in the woods. I used to have a Silverado and a quad. I replaced both with the tacoma. Better mileage than the chevy and quieter in the woods than the quad. Plus it has heat! The quad was way too cold.

the 2.7 moves it just fine, most 4cyl trucks are 2.4 or less. I really could not tell the difference from the 6cyl and 4cyl during test drives. I am really happy that I went with the 4cyl because even if I am heavy on the gas the worst I will do is 18mpg. Slow take off and keeping under 80pmh I average 20-23mph or 100-125 miles to a quarter tank of gas. I pulled my bay boat this weekend for the first time and it towed as well as my last truck but had better turning radius. What I am worried about is will the engine provide less power with age but I will probably have a new truck by then. Go test drive one.

Cool man. Thanks for the info. I test drove a V6 auto earlier this year and it was pretty sluggish IMO. It was like if I put the gas down a little it would have to down shift and started whining really loud. A friend of mine bought a new one a little over a year ago and he said his does the same thing. I was satisfied with my 2.7 regular cab PreRunner when I had it. I'm going to go for a test drive soon now!

trucks are not built for speed. If you have a need to tow more than 3500lbs then I would get the v6 however if you just need a truck for trips to homedepot and use as a daily driver the 4 cyl is great.

If I had a need to tow I would have actually bought the Tundra.

Redfish, I can not find any information anywhere about a 2011 double cab 2.7L anywhere, not even toyotas website. Where did you get it? Anyone have a link for these? Is it 4x4?

**Update: I found the answer to my question. 2.7L Double Cab is a automatic 4x2. I knew they made that but are very rare. I was hoping they finally decided to make a 4x4! Wishful thinking I guess**
