    yea, i got a set of TRD off road wheels for it, a 3" lift kit from rough country, and the only thing im waiting on is tires. theyre so expensive!! i took my mudflaps off though, those are wicked gay lol

    oh, and i bought some TRD Rock Warrior decals to throw on hahahaha

    Nice man! Yeah the price of tires is ridiculous. I can't decide which ones I want for mine. Thinking about going straight to 33's when I do upgrade.

    It was always 4wd we just put in a FJ transfer case with twin sticks last fall and got rid of the electronic 4wd. This summer it will be getting a crawl box with 4.7 gears as well.

    Truck looks awesome, :D I am digging the steel wheels I have hung onto my set thinking of turning them into beadlocks with a DIY kit and running a set of Q78 TSL's maybe. I will be looking forward to your crawler install are you planning on running the stock TC or going with a different case?

    My plan so far is to get an FJ case with twinstick, then throw on a second box with 4.7 gear. Hopefully I can have that done by the end of the summer, depending on my house shopping. I've got a friend who makes DIY beadlock kits, been thinking about that plus some 35x10.50 SSR's.

    Also, been looking at a different shock option for the rear. Thinking 1980 F250 shock towers in the rear, cut and fit them. Get ballistic fab shock mounts for the axle and then I can run a longer shock, maybe 14 inch travel?

    Cool, I have been starting to price DIY beadlock kits and haven't settled on one yet. Does your buddy have a website or link for his kits? If so I will definitely check them out. I ask on the case since I am trying to figure out if a BFH is going to be enough to take care of the floor board/tunnel to clock the TC to get it above the frame rails or if I am going to have to cut and weld the floor board/tunnel to make it fit. I want it to end up something along the lines of Kevin's from ATO (he is running the lefty and is clocked at 15 degrees) so that I am flat and can run a high clearance cross member like his. We're not sure if it is possible yet with difference in size between a lefty and FJ case after looking at Wicked 2007's FJ TC and crawler his is clocked at 10 degrees and is below the frame rails. So it may be some trial and error or cutting and welding to work it all out. So it is good to know of some one else that is looking at doing the same thing.

    That is a really killer idea, we have discussed some different options on the rear but mainly looked at going with shackles and longer travel shocks. I will have to do a little research but have a pretty good picture of what you are talking about in my head and it seems to make a lot of sense just thinking about it. So if you have a set of 1980 F250 shock towers laying around does that mean you have some Dana 60's as well?:yay:

    hahah I wish. That probably won't happen for another 3 or 4 years. You can actually buy the shock towers from the Ford dealer for dirt cheap.

    Thx man! It's not SR5, but it has the bucket seats and console just like the SR5 regular cabs did. But it still has the black fenders and bumpers. Which is actually pretty cool because they sort of match :D Planning on having the windows tinted asap, then starting on the suspension and wheels/tires. Can't decide if I want to do 265's or 285's? I do fast offroading, like prerunning, so I'm not really sure.

    This will be my third Tacoma overall :D Two regular cab PreRunner's and this regular cab 4WD. I guess I have a thing for the regular cabs lol.

    Thanks man! Yeah I'm ready to start modding asap lol. I'm not 100% sure what the gear ratio is on the auto, but I'll check my sticker when I go out to my truck and let you know. Definitely planning on having this one for a while. I'm totally in love with it! You're truck looks amazing BTW!
    Thanks! It actually surprised me how well it drives for a four cylinder automatic. Honestly, comparing it to my 07 PreRunner, I would say it's VERY close. The auto feels slightly less powerful, but hardly enough to even notice. It's most noticeable when you're taking off from a stop light, but around town and at highway speeds it's great! I love it and I'm really enjoying it!
