Yes. GPS calibrated speed/distance for the oversize tires, and adjusted fuel trim on the SG2 to give readings within 1/10 gal on every fill up. :)

    Sold it. :(
The '03 im driving now we had got for my GF last year. I sold my 07 to open a bit of cash after moving to NV this summer, and then got her a little black tC to drive and I took over the 03. That gives us a car to take on road trips for better MPG too, so it just kinda made sense to sell it.
I do miss the white truck though!

I didn't take a picture this time but here are the results.

528.1 miles and 17.753 gallons for 29.75 mpg. 1.5 months on that tank.

The tanks are gonna get worse from here. Already running out of daylight on my daily commute, I don't shut the motor off once the lights go on, too much drain on the battery. I also didn't have any significant highway miles to Denver etc, a couple of 50-60 mile round trips to Denver at 35+ mpg help bump up a tank.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'll be driving to my parents beach house every once in a while, which is 100 highway miles one-way. But that's the extent of my highway driving.

Do you continue to fill after the first click?

    Andrew,

After the first auto click-off, I wait 5 seconds and do 4 more click-offs, waiting 5 seconds between each attempt. I try to limit myself to 2 tanks per month and getting in all you can just barely lets me accomplish that.

i just go to the first click. Seems accurate enough. I doubt it matters much as long as you are consistent. I've I try to go a few more clicks in I can usually get 1/2 gallon more which is surprising.

But i'm jealous of all the high 20's and 30's for mpg here. My record is like 24mpg. I did get 20mpg in upstate NY a weekend ago driving 85-95mph for 400miles or so. I have a 14 gallon tank (usually takes 15.0-15.6 gallons). But most of my driving is usually city. This is the first time I'm running >29psi too. I'm at 38psi front and 36psi rear. The high pressure used to really bother me (bumpy as &#^*) on the new Michalin XTR's, but it seems like after 5k-10k miles they have worn in and a flexible to the higher psi.

    263.1miles @ 15.44 gallons = 17.04mpg
Pretty typical of what I get around 30*F weather. All city driving <5miles at a time. 2.7L 5spd manual - shifts around 2grand.

You're measuring how much fuel you consumed while driving X number of miles...not the size of the tank. The 3 or 4 gallons that are in reserve were not consumed, thus they are irrelevant for this calculation.

Shit, haven't been here in a minute. Been busy lately, sorry.

Recently took a 3+ hour trip, got shitty mileage on the way there. I was trying to make time though.

Put $15 in her in Georgetown, KY. Still only filled the truck to less 1/2 tank, cruised @ 65 on the way, made it back to Columbus and the gas light plinked on just as I got inside 270. 3 hours on about a 1/3 of a tank was pretty awesome.

Filled up this evening. 473.6 miles, 18.198 gallons. 26.0 MPG worst mileage in 6 tanks. But still pretty damn good.
