    Just to be clear ...

    A 2001 - 2004 6-lug Taco would have the 2.7L 3RZ engine.

This is a totally different unit from the 2.7L 2TR engine found in 2005+ Tacos.

2001 4x4 Xtra Cab MT with the 2.7L 3RZ is what I have. Just so you know.... This model does not come with a RR Diff locker as a standard option.... If you see one with TRD Stickers.... It's probably just stickers. The Rear Diff drains on the right for an Open Diff and on the Left if you have a Locker...

You can even get a quad cab with a 2.7L. Check out this link http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ctd/2292278629.html it is not mine, I don't know the seller either, this is just an example with picts.

Never better than 21 never worse than 17. YMMV!
