Hey im new to TW. Anyway im getting a tacoma 4 cyl Pre-runner. Idk if it is going to have the TRD off road package or not. So i was wondering, what i can do to make it more like a 4wd tacoma. Since pretty much all my friends have 4wd and they like to go mudding. I want to be out there with them. Also pics of your pre-runner would be nice. I am probably getting a tacoma from the 2000's to the 2003's, idk if that helps at all. Thank You For Your Help

As far as I know, you can't get a 4cyl TRD in the 1st gen, and I know for a fact you cant get it in the 2nd gen. The biggest difference is going to be the rear locking diff, but you can add one of those aftermarket.

Since your a 1st gen you can also look into doing a 4x4 conversion on your truck.
