Intermittent gurgling noise coming from the drivers side, I think????? Anyone??
    And there is more!
Every so often I get a squealing from one of my belts. When I checked the belts for wear 1 looked almost new and the other was also good. Just purchased this truck so I don't know the exact dates on the belts. Any Help Would Be Much Appreciated!

wiggle the two idler pulleys, if they have any movement at all to them then replace them. they are notorious fort going bad every 30-40k miles.

as to the gurgling? don't know but check your fluids, radiator and PS pump, it could be one of these is low

When does it gurgle? While running or when it is turned off. Could be low on coolant, I had a 85 4runner gurgled when turned off, Bad Head gasket allowing coolant to boil. Good Luck

Thanks guys, I'll do just that with the idler pulley's and double check my fluids. Truck was running too Mark. Do you think it could possibly be the wrong coolant?????

The coolant could be wrong chemistry wise, but that would not create a noise.

After checking the idlers (R&R if required), try pulling of the belts, cleaning the pulleys of any build up, check the belts p/N for proper application and examine.

If any doubt, just replace them.

If they look ok, try reinstalling, tension properly, and see what happens.

Caution; over tensioning belts can damage drive accessories such as alternators. And expensive mistake to make a worn belt quit squealing.
