Run was on a Dynojet with 265/75 16 duratracs. Only mod was a AFE intake and the heavier tires undoubtedly offset any aftermarket intake gains.

How do you figure? Shows peak hp at 135hp, around the same parasitic drivetrain loss the 3.5L chart you posted shows.

Edit: upper line is ft/lbs, remember the 4cyl makes more torque than HP.

    This.
You really pay at the pump for any acceleration you use.

The 3.5L drives like a modern performance engine, the 2.7L drives like a mid 90's Ford 300ci inline 6cly :)

Jesus christ I'm 2 for 2 today. Totally read that chart wrong. I had HP and torque backwards in my noggin.
Yep, looks like your'e right. Only thing I can say about the 3.5 STOCK trace is wtf happened on the bottom end lol? I mean, OV is definitely better but not that much better.

Yeah those pulls were done by an independent shop, and are a mess IMO. Damn thing could have bogged when they hit it stock, impossible to say. Mat's traces are much cleaner, but he was using a different type of dyno and probably some smoothing - again I don't know 100%.

I just got done camping. I regularly hold 80mph up hill and just let the motor eat. 5500rpm for miles and miles. That's why I got a Toyota.

You guys better be careful. I got called an asshole a while back for mentioning it was ok to wing up my 2.7 occasionally. Apparently anything north of 2K was the twilight zone to this particular individual...:notsure:
