4Runner or Minivan?

Poll closed May 14, 2011.
  1. 4Runner! You'll be happier, know how to wrench, and it's got roof racks for strollers!

  2. Suck it up pansy! Minivan would be more practical, you did the deed, time to pay up!

DON'T GIVE IN TO THE MINI-VAN.....4 Runner all the way or even a Sequoia...but if you must do a minivan probably go Honda Odyssey

    Sienna SE :D

Someone in our neighborhood has one same color as ours. We got the limited AWD, but the SE looks really cool in person, lol.

    neglect, mostly.
man in this modern age i would go with the 4runner. being only 20 yrs old it wasnt thaaat long ago when i was cruisin around in the minivan. now for your young children, hell they of wont care what you have, but when they get to late middle and early high school they're gonna hate it. and as for options and dvd players and all that, screw it. we were in yellowstone as a family last year and i saw kids watching dvd's in their minivans and "modern family cars" while going through yellowstone . . . .YELLOWSTONE?!!!. . that's the problem with kids these days, the need to be staring at a screen all the time.
so all and all i guess im just advising to look at it in the loooong run, cause most family haulers in up staying around much much longer than they werent planned to upon purchase.

and congrats. grew up with brothers and sisters, never a dull moment.

Have you considered a camper shell for the Taco and a futon. Did the mini-van thing myself when the second kid came--my wife was in a serious nesting phase. I would get a Honda Pilot (3rd seats a snap to get in and out of). Add a trailer hitch so you can still pick up the lumber you will need to add that room on the house.

Congrats on the new addition. For all the trouble and life change they put us through--they really are the best.

Paul... first off, Congrats! Ever notice that the #4 is also the $ symbol. LMAO.
Second... Highlander, 4Runner or the Sierra (SE though) are all great vehicles. Just make sure the 2nd row has captains chairs. That way you can leave the babies car seats attached while others walk in between to the 3rd row without touching anything on the 2nd row. Folding seats to slide forward to access the 3rd row is sooo old school. Captains chairs are freakin' sweat. If you want to see what I'm talking about, check out an Acadia or a new Explorer to see it for yourself.
Best of luck to you brother. Sorry to hear that Tacoma might be going away.

    1st - Congrats buddy!

2nd - Sorry that you have to sell the Tacoma. Such a nice truck.

3rd - I'm voting for the 4Runner, kids or not, everyone will fit and you'll still have a great, reliable Toyota SUV.

Congrats and good luck. I have 4 kids as well a 17 year old a 3 1/2 year old and the twins are a year and 1/2 old. My wife got a Honda Odyssey mini van and she loves it, we took it on a road trip to Wash DC and it was nice to have all the extra room.
