4Runner or Minivan?

  1. 4Runner! You'll be happier, know how to wrench, and it's got roof racks for strollers!

  2. Suck it up pansy! Minivan would be more practical, you did the deed, time to pay up!

You have a bed toss the kids in there, just ratchet them down so they don't move. If you go the van may I suggest a cool paint job like the A-Team van... but the van is probably most sound, most leg room once those kids start growing and don't want to sit in the back row of the 4 runner, plus easier access for Car Seat Strapping and unstrapping.

Where is your kid hauler going to be spending 95% of it's time? Ask yourself that. There is very little reason to drive a modified SUV if it's just going to be a street queen. Sure it looks sweet but if that's what you're worried about, buy a cheap project SUV and have your ego be into that. I drive a lifted FJ now, but I also get it dirty at least a couple times a week. Once I'm hauling kids around I will adjust my ego and realize what's best for kids as well as my wallet.

However, I will always (at least I hope my finances will allow it) have my 1987 4Runner Project to tinker with and take out on weekends.

Yes, I agree, if your kids are great and good to you, definitely refrigerated with window view :) and if they are straight A students....add a TV :)

    LMFAO
The Sienna is more likely what we'd do. Dunno if I would need the AWD (cause lets face it, 4x4 is nice to have when you need it) or go with the SE. The SE looks cooler but I don't want to be stuck in some deep snow when it gets crappy in the winter. This last little round we had was bad enough having 2wd for all the cars around here

FWD is still better than RWD if you only have two drive wheels in the snow/ice!

I traded my 4-runner for a Highlander last year, its a good vehicle. I miss the 4-runner from time to time but the Highlander seats 5 adults & 2 kids reasonably comfortably and the convertible 2nd rom is pretty sweet.

I just couldn't bring myself to go minivan & the Highlander is AWD, does good in the snow too IMO.

Alright. I had a minivan when my kids were growing up. Nothing does the job better for what it was designed to do than a minivan. Not cool but sure is nice to haul kids and their friends around.
