Like many of you, I need to replace this lame leaf pack in my 2004 Xtra cab 4x4. I'm running a 1" lift shackle now to match the 1" leveling kit I have up front.

I saw the popular thread about the Wheelers Offroad selling 4 and 5 leaf packs for about $450 + shipping. I'd really like to get a 5 leaf pack, to make the truck more stout with a full bed. The 5-pack give you 1.5" of lift, so I'd probably go back down to the stock shackle.

But my local spring shop around here can sell me a new 4 leaf pack for $300.... I could just stick with my lift shackle, and stay at the height I want.. Do you guys know if the 4-leafer will just wear out again and start sagging? Or was that really just an issue with the stock toyota springs being manufactured poorly or something?

The 5 pack will take more weight if you tow or haul a lot. I have them plus wheelers aal. Very happy.
