Man, 35s with a 3 inch would be deadly but wonder how much trimming? plus a very heavy tire for a tacoma no?

The trimming involved can be done by a local metal fab shop if you don't know how to do it yourself. Look around in your region on this website and see if there are any that post here that are in your area. They will be very familiar with this job, since everyone wants 33s. They can make the cab chop look like factory, and it's not in any way dangerous for your truck. Here is a link to a guy local to me that does the work, with pictures included of the cab chop. Check it out.

Yeah 35's usually require a regear, he also has fiberglass fenders and cut his pinch welds and chopped his cab mount. He went through the trouble to actually cycle his suspension and it shows, seriously check out his build, hes a smart kid.

The reasons I chose a 4.5 drop bracket lift were a close to stock ride and geometry, no strain on CV joints, like the look of a little more lift than a 3 inch could give, for the light trail offroading and snow wheeling that I do the clearance wasn't a deal breaker.

Maybe the 3" is the way I need to go. What do yall think about Camburg 2.5 coilover kit for the front and the All-Pro leaf pack with Walker Evans shocks for the rear?

my personal experience with coils was a siezed up front end after 8000k miles and 2000 dollars worth of shocks later i was looking at new control arms lower and upper, cvs going bad and a choice of going back to stock and sinking 5 grand or going drop bracket. i chose the rcd kit as i am 5 foot 3 and didnt want to have to use a ladder to get into my truck. my two cents, stay stock or spend the extra cask for a drop bracket, personal opinion the replacement cross members sent with the rcd kit are built better than stock anyway. my fair warning

If you go 3" just buy the OME kit from DSM and be done. New coils and the Dakar pack and the spacer and leaf spring bushings from wheelers. And order a set of DSM upper control arms while you're at it.

You can get a spindle lift with 4x4. I was pretty sure Amir had spindle lift on his 4x4.

    3" OME lift 885s & Dakars riding on 33" KM2s
I went with a 3" OME lift (885s & Dakars) and fit the skinny 33"s (255/85/16) with no problem & no cutting/trimming. Just a slight rub I've heard 3 times if I'm at full lock and bounce the front pretty hard it'll brush my front mud flaps. If I took off the flaps it wouldn't rub ever.

Are those KM2's? If so, how do you like them and what kind of miles are you thinking you will get out of them. I got Toyo M/T's and am thinking i'm gonna get close to 70,000 out of them....HOPEFULLY

Yes they are KM2s. I like them a lot. Haven't had a traction problem with them yet. Hit some mud with some guys running 265 & 285 KM1&2s and they were sliding around more than I was because they were paddling around on top instead of penetrating the mud to the solid below. 1st set of MTs for me so I can't compare them to anything else. No idea on mileage since I only run them off road. I commute 280 to 350 miles/week and will run the Dungflops commuting until they get replaced by something else for commuting.

Ive been commuting close to 500 miles a week and these Toyos have held up real well. I've almost got 40,000 miles on them and still have way over half tread left. I just moved closer to where I work so hopefully what wear I was putting on them will drop alot. They're expensive on the front end but well worth it in the long run.
