4" lift rear shocks, 4" uptravel

I installed these
Fox performance series 2.0 shocks
BDS suspension rear shocks 4" lift
Pt#98224953-1

1500 miles on them in great shape with hardware. Full compression no wear on 5/8" shafts.

17.57"compressed 29.82"extended
Now I'm looking at the shaft and realized I only have 4" up travel.
Why? Aren't I suppose to have like 10"?

Hub to fender is 26.5"
Progressive aal and 2" block and I will be installing 6" sumo springs for bumpstops. At 3" compression they hold 1500lbs. It looks like 6" clearance from top of leaf pack to bumpstops plate, so I shouldn't bottom out but this still has me worried.
Any info/links/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks to me like that shock is going to bottom out long before you hit the bumpstops. Do you have any weight in the bed? Or with 1500 in the bed.

I guess it could be the angle looking up at the bumpstop. Not shock related, but....you need to cut them u bolt ends off or get a shackle flip kit if you're off rd much.

Looks like you need more downtravel on the shocks.
Is there a shock relocation kit on the upper end that you can use to get maybe 2 more inches out of the bottom?

Ubolts got cut after the pic was taken. Fucked if I know on the shock relocation.

 

Could it be that the factory leafs are that shitty that they are drooping? I have the tsb leafs.

 

Yea. That's your issue. You have no lift.
When you get your new leafs, there will be enough arch to give you the extra you need.

 

Do I see blocks under there?

 

These are 4 leaf only like 8 months old. Replaced from dealer

 

I should have minimum 3" lift in the rear right now. I don't get why I'm so compressed. Can anyone with 4" rear get me a measurement from hub to fender? And take some pics of the rear while their at it?

Most of those springs are relatively flat, regardless if they are new. You're going to need something with a good arch. Those 6 in sumo springs your talking about might put you at the other end of the spectrum. And your going to have another issue with your shockstopping out.
Aren't the 2.0 meant for 2.5-3 in of lift?

I have another 8 inches of down travel. These models are meant for 3-4" of lift. The whole sagging spring thing doesn't make sense as in 26.5 hub to fender most with 3" lift have 25" and change.

 

I'll just get something manufactured locally. I'm actually on my way to a spring shop right now.

Problem is I have a Wheeling trip coming up on the 24th I don't know if I'll be able to get them finished by then.

 

Just finished talking to the best spring guy in the city. He says I have nothing to worry about as is. With the sumo springs he says I'll NEVER bottom out.
