i have a 2016 tacoma that I'm wanting to lift. i have 20x12's with a -44 offset fuels on toyo mT's 33/12.5/20. not sure if i want a 6" lift or a 4". i know the benefits over the 6" with the 4" but i mean, the 6" looks cool. what do y'all think? will the 4" even clear my wheel set up?

3" suspension lift. screw bracket lifts and spacers. 4" suspension lift going to get super expensive since the axle angles will be stupid and maybe not long enough

Go with 6" if you want to clear that. You'll most likely rub if you don't...

yeah but if u wanna talk about angles the 6.5" lift would be crazy. whats one more inch from a 3" lift? plus theres no way I'm gonna clear a 20x12 rim with a 3" lift

The axle angles won't be crazy on a 4" or 6". It uses a drop bracket to keep the axles straight. The crossmember will have to be cut though... LOL

MPG is not based on the lift it's on the tire size you're using. Running 33's on any size lift on a Tacoma won't give you good MPG's...

It's up to you. If I was still into tall lifts and wide wheels/tires I'd go with the 6". Might as well go higher if you will have to do some cutting anyways. If you have unlimited funds check out the 10"-12" Bulletproof lift kit...LOL!

I'm not I'm just giving him my honest opinion. If I were still into tall lifts I would go with 6" and 33's. People in Hawaii do that all day everyday. Let him do what he wants. He's asking about 4" and 6" lifts. Are you his daddy and going to tell him how to spend his money? He already has 20x12 -44 offset wheels. You're the idiot saying go with a 3" lift. That shit won't clear it...

On another note why would I go with hockey pucks if I wheel my shit. You probably have a mall crawler...

ever think of not running a a 20x12?

just saying you'll likely get more help somewhere else probably.
Most people here think anything over a 3inch lift is stupid especially if you're running 20" rims.

Looks clean. I used to be into tall lifts and big wheels back in the day. Nowadays I'm good with a 3" lift. Here's my old Avalanche from years ago with a 9" lift with 20's and 35's...
