4 lo light flash

When I try to engage the 4 wheel drive the 4 lo light flashes and doesn't engage in 4 hi or low

 

Are you in neutral when switch it to 4lo?

This isn’t an uncommon problem.
Unfortunately diagnosing it, isn’t always simple.

If you are properly shifting to 4WD, and the light is still flashing, I recommend you start here.

What I don’t recommend, is throw parts at it. That usually doesn’t work in this case.

The system is a little finicky. To get it to switch the manual says rolling at like 2mph but i find it will still flash so here is what u wanna do.

1) stop
2) switch to neutral
3) turn the knob to 4Low
4) wait a couple seconds
5) put it in drive and you should be good
