With an auto trans is it normal for selecting 4 Lo to turn both Trac and VSC off? They don't automatically go off in 4 Hi? But they are selectable off in 4 Hi if hold button down 3 sec

In 4LO you don't really want traction control on so thats why it turns off.
4HI is used for more general road driving in slick situations, but you have the option to turn it off.

I also noticed in MTS the Trac off light goes dark. The VSC off stays lit. On page 257 of manual the note says "VSC can't be switched on or off". If I am in 4 Lo with both Trac off and VSC off lights on, then hit the MTS button the Trac Off light goes dark. What is that accomplishing? Enabling traction control due to wheel slip being monitored by MTS selection? I am thinking you are getting a limited slip capability on both axles (front/rear) via ABS on wheel slipping most.

Rock, does the MTS give you limited slip front and rear?
