I came from an F-150 with the big V8, down to my 2.7 I4. Honestly, I DON"T miss the power. It's not a race car. If I wanted a race car I would have bought one. I have no regrets in going with the 2.7.

Sure, it doesn't accelerate like my V8 did to pass people, but it does the job quick enough. I just drop it into 3rd and accelerate to pass people. Unless you want to pass people that are already doing the speed limit all the time, then the 2.7 is good. However, If you constantly feel the need to speed excessively and need to smoke tires, then get the v6 if you wish.

Honestly, I think the difference between the usefullness of these two engines comes down to towing capability. That's where the V6 is king. Although, I pulled my bass boat the other day and didn't even feel it behind me. My 4 banger Engine didn't strain at all. Neither did it strain when I towed a 600 lb ATV in the bed yesterday. So, it does all of the towing that I need.

Bought the 4 cyl DC. Nice truck. No rocket ship or sure. Came with XM/Bluetooth radio. Already added Westin steps. Tonneau cover will be here on Monday.

Damn. I'm glad I'm not in my 20s anymore. ;) I only pay $760/yr for full coverage with a $500 collision / $100 comprehensive deductible. Sometimes it does pay to be older.

    Congrats OP.
