i have a 08 2.7 acc cab, ive been thinking of trading it and getting an 09 dbl cab, i like the auto for the city and the additional power for atv's, bigger tires, ive also have an 06 cummins so not really towing heavy loads. so , for hunting, city/everyday driving, light towing.

Are you talking about buying an '09 with a 4cyl or are you comparing what you have now vs. a V6 '09?

If you have the cash, more power is better. That's my opinion.

I have a 07 2.7 and it works very well for me.

Toyota has made some of the best 4 cylinder gas engine out there, and the 2.7 I4 is certainly one of them.

I chose V6 but that's because I would never even consider the 4cyl. There's nothing wrong with it, just not for me.

I don't know man, it's such a subjective decision. The bottom line is, if you aren't happy with it, get what you want because making payments on something that you aren't completely happy with SUCKS.

well i was just thinking about mpg at the time and not really power, but for my heavier loads the the 4cyl struggles with the dodge dually is a payne in the ass to drag around, and i feel i should step up to the v6

I got the V-6 because I want a truck with plenty of power if I want to tow or have the bed loaded with stuff. My taco isn't my daily driver so mileage wasn't a deciding factor.

I started shopping for my truck last summer when gas was $1.52/Liter (around $6/gallon). Since it's my daily driver, I opted for the 4 banger. I may upgrade to the v6 when the lease is up in three years.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
To me the biggest decision here as why trade in an 08 for an 09? You're basically going to be out some major cash on a trade like that. Keep it for another 3-4 years, then trade.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
    yeah, What he said..

Here's an easy decision though. They do not offer a Double cab with a four banger.

The bottom line here is that you were going to buy the double cab. They only put the V6 in the double cab.

Unless you needed the double cab, then I wouldn't bother trading out your truck.

A 4 banger isn't even the same vehical as a v6 dub cab so I dont think it'll be a bad ideal to upgrade so earlly.
