4" suspension local craigslist ad -- Do I get it?

Hello, there is a guy selling a 4" lift kit for '16 to '17 locally for only $500. The deal seems to good to be true so that is why I am leary on looking at it.

He says the kit comes with these items:
4 inch lift spacers for front with struts
UCA's (Upper Control Arms)
Extended travel 2.0 Rear gas struts
Rear lift blocks
Rear Leaf springs
Extended U-bolts
OEM Rear struts

Attached is a picture.

Should I get it if I want a lift for cosmetic purposes right now or hold off and save my pennies for a better lift?

Is this basically a body lift using spacers and blocks? I'm sorry, I'm so new to truck suspension so I want to do it right and learn at the same time

 

I would hold off , Save up and go new on something you want for long term! You dont want someone's used suspension you dont know what kinda abuse it's had! But go with whatever your gut tells you!

 

no this is not a body lift, a body lift only lifts the cab body.

this is just a spacer kit with a bunch of factory parts, total waste of 500 bucks

 

• This is a 3" lift at most
• It's super shitty with just spacers
• You could spend ~700 and get a brand new lift that is MUCH better.

Agreed, odds are he likely junked the spacers and upgraded a bunch of parts hence why there are alot of factory stuff in there. I wouldnt pay more than 200 for that and the condition is pretty beat.

Thank for the info. I have been researching the 5100's and 6112's for setup. I do not want to spend several g's, even though some of those kits I have seen look amazing and or I have read good reviews on their ride quality. I don't see myself going on extreme off road, but maybe some light ones in the future so a lift is mostly for looks and larger tires/wheel combo type scenario

 

That's factory leaf's with a block and factory UCA's. Also a spacer lift. i.e. a pile of junk for $500.

 

Stay away. Junk kit with mostly stock parts.

You know some poor sap is going to spend $500 on stock suspension with some blocks and two spacers. Sad sad.

 

Looks like a 125 dollar spacer lift with a bunch of worn out stock JUNK. Save up some more bucks. I did this for only a few bucks more.
