Hey guys, I ordered from an online retailer, tires are Falken Wildpeak AT/3W's if that even makes a difference. Upon receiving I noticed that 3 of the tires have a manufacture date of 0419 and made in Thailand, the 4th however, has a date of 4118 made in the USA. Now the dates don't concern me that much, what does is running one tire with a potentially different compound.

I have contacted the retailer, they replied with "the tires are identical except for the color ring on the tread, and they come direct from the manufacturer on my date of purchase", meaning they are the middle man I guess. So why would Falken send an odd one off tire? Or are they just covering themselves?

Am I in the wrong? Should I just leave it and run them all the same? Am I just being a prissy OCD ***hole?

They're all the same tire. It's way more common than you think to get mismatched dot codes. They just had some tires left from 2018 to sell. Imagine if they always put the new tires they receive in front/on top of the old ones - eventually they have to pull out the old stock and get rid of them.

Most companies make tires in multiple countries. I really don't believe quality suffers much within the brand
