It'll never sound like a V8, sorry. Even our V6's don't come close to the V8 rumble. My advise, search on the forum or YouTube for sound clips so you can get a better idea of what it'll sound like.

As far as paint, try plastidip. That way if u decide you don't like it you can take it back off. It's only about $6 a can

    Thanks.
There are so many different ways to set up your exhaust, youll just have to listen to a bunch of sound clips and see how those guys did it. To get the sound you're looking for, though, you'll need more than a muffler. You'll be looking at things like replacing headers also. You can make it sound good, just gonna require some work

I had a Flowmaster 50 series when I owned a first gen 4 banger. Sounded decent and fairly deep for a 4 cylinder. After the deck plate mod it got even deeper.

Headers, DO NOT DELETE THE CAT (high flow cat will get better sound) and 14'' Magnaflow will get you a nice deep tone for a 4 banger.

I have LCE headers, high flow cat, and flowmaster 40 (soon to be switched out for a magnaflow) and I always get people who cant believe my truck is a 4 banger..they swear up and down its a v6 till I pop the hood.

I think mine was a Delta 50. If you want it louder go with a 40 series, but I really have no experience with a 40 on the 4 cylinder. It sounded good on my 4.0 though.

I never did like how this forum treated its younger members... Most guys are really nice, but then you get someone sarcastic or who just feels like putting down someone just getting into this stuff.

I had a delta flow 50 series and an lce header on my 4 bangers and loved how they sounded wish I had a sound clip. I'm sure YouTube has similar setups
