ok yeah i know where you are talking.
um, dont pay attention to rumors. If you are just passing through the Rez and you have your firearm, most likely(if you're not causing trouble) they will just focus on the infraction they pulled you over for. To keep a firearm on the reservation, it must be registered with the local PD. I.E if you get pulled over multiple times on the res and each time you are in possession of your firearm, they might confescate it. They aren't going to just confiscate your vehicle, this isn't mexico. They are still a Municipal police agency even though they are on sovereign land. I believe that land in your pic belongs to Gila River. They aren't trying bust everyone for any little thing, thats bad press and they want business in their casinos. just be cool and you'll be fine.

I was out at the Resort area one day taking images of some wildlife and one of their security dudes stopped, kinda asked me what I was doing,
I started showing him a bunch of images and he's like yea well you can't do that here LOL ... I had no idea ... said I needed a permit which I
tried to acquire but apparently it's a difficult process so I gave up. I heard tale from someone reliable who' buddy got busted (rightly so) for dumping a bunch
of trash on their property and had hard-drugs on him and a firearm - and they took his vehicle - and he got what he deserved in my humble opinion.

That side-dirt-road goes on and on and on have yet to take it to the end, I suspect it runs into the mountains...

They've been putting up some permit required signs out here where I live I've never seen those as long as I've been out here in the Blythe area

Getting busted for drugs and illegal dumping and in possession of a firearm? Vehicle confiscation is not unique to the tribe in that situation. Any PD or county law enforcement would have done the same.
As for the permit, it's their property. If thats what they require then those are the rules.
