I'm not sure my grizzly would even fit. I am sure I don't want to find out. Luckily I have a cargo trailer so the grizz rides in style.

I would load the the ATV with the heavier end closer to the cab. And use ply wood to spread the weight more evenly across the bed and tailgate. Also your truck should be good for atleast 1000lbs of payload.

Lay a small piece of ply wood down on the gate and some on the bed to help distribute and support the weight.

I run firestone air bags to adjust accordingly to loading the truck. The air bags will not affect the ride quality when aired down

Hemlock, i no you said it went fine. A couple questions, if you dont mind. what ramps did you use to load, mine are al. with four tabs that lay on the edge of tailgate. did you use ratchet straps to hold it in? how did the quad ride? I have a 2013 rancher and it is water cooled so its going to weigh a little more and possibly a little longer, I dont think its any wider.

I am not worried about the weight in the bed, or if it will ..fit.. just wondering about the tailgate. I dont need to haul my quad but once or twice a year, so i dont want or need a trailor setting in my drive year round. Thanks
