    Confusing toggle switches on new (2011) 4 x 3 Off Road package Toyota truck. I'm just out of a Jeep Cherokee and into a Toyota. I want to know what mode (switch) is best while driving on highway slush/wet snow in high 4WD?. Truck is not as responsive as Jeep was. Any thoughts out there?

    I usually just leave it in 4HI for on road snow driving , no additional mode manipulation

    completely stock
    number one is tires. if you still have stock tires there's your problem with responsiveness.

    plain ole' 4hi is fine on the highway if you are all over the place in 2hi. I usually just drive in 2hi no matter what until 4hi is absolutely necessary...
