I think that is just the 2012 models that have that issue, the "limp mode" issue, unless I am thinking of something else.

This is awesome! So many people gave me crap for buying a 199k mile truck, yet it just passed 205k miles and everything is perfect on it.

Always saying these trucks will go a million miles! It's all about taking care of them. I don't think I'll ever sell mine!

Thanks for all the great details on services at different miles, really interesting :)

Like others, I appreciate this thread. This truck apparently has not been a princess either. Lots of off road and other "severe' use. I plan to just keep my truck as long as I can keep it running. I just turned over 150K, and I can't tell that anything has changed since it was new. I still have 100% confidence when I hit the road.

Guys with all the plug questions, pretty sure he stated every 30k with OEM plugs, but didn't show much wear.

WOW, I plan on dropping in a fresh motor and transmission when mine finally goes. Im almost to 100k now, my old 91 was still kicking at 314k when I sold her :frusty: never selling my Tacoma again. This gives me faith that she will run for just as long

I replace my oil religiously at 5k and have only ran the same synthetic oil since I brought her home from the dealer back in August of 08

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
I gotta say original water pump and alternator is quite impressive!

Also found this earlier in post. "Shocks and springs all replaced with lift at 200k miles." Probably a tad overdue, esp with all the offroading.

As athers have said that is very impressive! I know the older Toyota trucks have gone that far but with all the negative things you read about the 2 Gen I always wandered it they would go that far. Well this thread cleared that up for me. OP congrats on the mile stone and thanks for posting this thread as it gives me the confidence and hope.

Wonder if it cracked half a million yet.

I definitely don't have that luck with my alternator, and steering components
