Wow! I'm coming up on 300,000 miles.
Currently at 294,480. I'll have to start thinking about what I have replaced and what is original.

@qnyla what was the mpg when you were driving it?

I’m 1,000 miles behind you. I don’t plan on ever letting this truck go.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
I look forward to these becoming AACA eligible. Some 1st gen trucks will be eligible in 2020.

The mileage anxiety "we" have is funny. We love the truck so much that we fear when it's life is over. I think the banter on the third gens makes this anxiety worse, knowing we don't have a new truck we can just replace it with. 2nd gens seem like they aren't replaceable with anything new these days.

Personally I don't care for all the driving assisting equipment. It just gives people more reason not to pay attination to their driving.

I agree 100%. My wife’s car has the auto-adjust rear view mirrors when in reverse, the mirrors adjust down and I can’t see... I hate her car. The backup camera also, I never needed one before and still don’t!!

Agree. I had a Tahoe rental I was driving through Manhattan. The driver alerts were more distracting than anything. In Manhattan you will have multiple close calls, it's the nature of the beast. When the seat starts vibrating and red LEDs start flashing that's the real problem.

First time I drove our suburban my ass started shaking. I turned that shit off right then. The only time I use any of it is when I'm tired.

Yeah... My wife's new Grand Cherokee is always trying to be smarter than me too. I hate having to fight it just to turn the hi-beams on, or even just lower the rear hatch. I really am capable of doing those things myself. Over the weekend, it's air leveling system went tits up and it was sitting on the bump stops like a low rider ...it left here on a flatbed yesterday. Glad it's under warranty.

OP, congrats on the 400K. Just awesome!

They're edging us steadily toward vehicles that drive themselves. I have yet to talk to anyone that actually wants that.

I think your right. I would love to drive my Tacoma to work everyday but usually take the car so I can save miles on the Tacoma so I can keep it forever. I can only imagine how shitty the 4th Gens will be.:puke:
