Congrats, nice choice! I love mine too. 3rd Gen is not perfect but it is the King of Tacoma's. Very likely to go down in history as one of the best Tacoma's.

using the industry standard 'warranty' period of 12k miles it will take a bit Over 33 years to find out!

There is No good 'ol regular standard single cab in the lineup and therefore disqualified to be 'King of Tacoma's'

Search his posts. Awhile back he posted everything he has had to do (not much) and his maintenance schedule. He does not post much. He drives.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I have a friend who has a 200k+ miles ‘03 WRX original engine. Although he isn’t hard on it and it has no engine modifications other than an exhaust and an air oil seperator.

Not as much miles, but I have friends who has modded Lancer Evolutions that’s currently running strong on 130k+ miles. Daily driven as well.

I used to drive lowered imports. I still do at times, but right now I’m so used to the higher seating position of a truck.

The 2nd and 3rd gen basically share the same frame. Isn’t relatively super hard to put 3rd gen body parts on a 2nd gen.

They share like 90 percent of their dna, I swear the 3rd gen should have never been a generation of its own. I seriously feel the 3rd gen was a hold over until the technology and r&d was fully developed for the 4th gen

It might be neat to get some of those parts on a gen2 single cab
I do not like the nasty gen2 light housing assemblies whatsoever
They are due for replacement at only 13+ years with cracked + burnt dtrl

The 3rd gen was internally called a major minor change by Toyota

It’s been done before. There’s more of those on Google.
