Agreed. I think I'd be pleased to get 200k out of this one without a major transmission overhaul. But IMO if you have a modern vehicle, driven sensibly and maintained well, and it doesn't get to 200k without major issues, it's a real POS. 100k used to be considered impressive but that's nothing.

Yeah - I own a horse farm - in the middle of nowhere (actually an hour from most anywhere). My main office is about 60 miles each way and I usually go in 7 days a week and I also do consulting/assisting for other business in other cities. My gas runs around $2.90 per gallon currently. Heck - My wife is a stay at home house wife and she puts 30-40K per year on her main vehicle - a high top GMC AWD conversion van and she gets an avg of around 14MPG I think. So I guess she is not staying at home too much, HAHAHA. I get around 21-23 MPG as an average (that is obviously not counting when I am off road around our property on on nearby trails).

My wife is now seriously looking at another vehicle - she gets a new one every few years. I thought I had her hooked on a Landcruiser a couple of months ago, but now she is thinking she wants a big truck (like an F250 or something), lifted with big bumper/winch, etc...thinking my gas bill will really go up then!!!

I had a squeaky one at 30,000 miles. I have a decent amount of modifications that may have contributed but hard to say. Luckily you can buy greasable ones for a few bucks more.

I've currently got 140K miles on my 2018, with the MT as well and also tow heavy a good bit. All maintence done myself since new, with no issues to speak of. Only issue I've got, running the original clutch, but have had a slight squeal from the throw out bearing since about 115K miles. Not getting any worse or better, and plan to live with it till its time to put a clutch in, which is hopefully way down the road

This is awesome. Typical Toyota. Sure a few issues here and there. However, according to some of the 2nd gen folks this lawn mower engine is nothing but trouble lol....

I just put new OEM LCA, UCA, rear leaf packs & TRD pro shocks on this past weekend. I should've done this a while ago. Rides so much better on broken pavement/gravel roads that I'm always on. The rear leafs both had the same leaf break in the same spot.

At 150k I replaced the OEM shocks with a fresh takeoff set of Offroad shocks.

The OEM shocks weren't leaking or blown out either time but the front coils start to sag with the extra weight of my bumper. The front axle boots were beginning to slightly rub each other under hard compressions.

Do you stick with a certain type of manual trans fluid?

Put Ravenol in it the first 4 times. Put red line in it at 250k. Gonna get red line again at 300k.
