    Proof that these engines and trucks are solid. All those hating 1st and 2nd genners can shove it where the sun don’t shine.

    I can't believe you're still on the original clutch with hauling so much of the time that's insane tough clutch! Glad I went manual trans!

    Yeah, I have some doubts about that one. I had old Toyota 4x4 compact manual pickups pulling loaded open 2 place snowmobile trailers to Canada, and never had a clutch go 100k before it was toast.

    In the video, your engine idles just like mine with 40k miles. I’m impressed.

    Keep on trucking!

    They use a different clutch material in 3rd gens, I believe it’s carbon? Less feel but lasts longer.

    @tonered will know for sure.

    No idea what the 2nd Gen has, but the 3rd Gen is carbon.

    All I remember is getting a lot of pedal chatter when these clutch's weren't far from going tapioca, and thousands of miles later it was, oh, that smell it was all around the truck with no more forward movement.

    It’s definitely louder/more clattery than a new engine. My 22 is noticeably quieter at idle.

    My 2020 now at the same mileage as a buddies 2019 3.5 was, is far quieter too. Some of these engines are just noisier.
