So decided to post my version. I recently saw a 2021 version and it had me thinking.. why cut wires or plugs?

To summarize, I simply took pins out of the plug then soldered one wire then called it a day.

See photos, the blue wire is a random piece I had laying around. Then I simply covered the pins with heat shrink.

To take the pins out, you pull the top portion of thr plug out. Then when done, snap it back down.

@Niles254 Can I ask how you were able to get to the inverter? Do you have automatic or manual?

I took the center console cover off, but it looks like my inverter is under a large steel shelf. The automatic shifter is blocking the ability to remove it toward the front of the truck. The back and sides of the shelf don’t appear to be large enough

When trying to remove the steel shelf (console screws into) the 2 bolts in the backseat are under the carpet with hard shell plastic on top of it.

I am failing at how to even access the inverter in 2024 Tacoma

Oh I just realized this is 3rd gen guide with a 2024 revision?

Accessing the inverter in 2024 (4th gen) seems difficult

Yes sorry it’s for 3rd gen’s. I tried waiting for the 4th gen. Then it released the month after I bought the truck. Hopefully the 4th gen folks can help you out.

Looks like you need to pull the carpet back? I hope it’s not a matter of removing seats and pulling carpet up to get to the bolts on the side
