Hey Chief, it went very well. I was not looking forward to dealing with a...dealer, but the guy I worked with was great, and the Consumer Reports True Car service plus this particular dealership got me exactly what I wanted for $1000 under invoice. That was worth a couple tanks for gas and a few hours of driving. No other dealer came close to that. The only money they are making on this sale is the dealer holdback.

Just ordered Husky Weatherbeaters in gray.

Also a BAFX OBD2 bluetooth reader and the air-fuel sensor I need to replace on the 01 before sale.

Next will be a Dee Zee rubber bed mat like I have in my 01. I actually prefer the straight rubber ridges of the Dee Zee over the diagonal ones of the OEM, and it's about a third of the cost.

Glad you got a good deal on the truck.

That bed mat is same one I've had for the last 4 years and it still looks good.

I didn't even think about an aftermarket bed mat and got the Toyota mat. DUH. Oh well, live and learn. Maybe for the next truck, in my next lifetime. :D

Yeah, as I was looking over options, I thougt, I gotta have a bed mat, love it. Then I thought $160 sounds steep, and then I realized the pattern may make it harder to drag stuff in and out, and then I found Dee Zees (just like my old one) for about $60ish or so...

I just read up on Dee Zee mats on Amazon. Seems that there are two versions, a "good" one with marks for bed length and cutouts for D-rings, and a "bad" one that stinks like cheap tires and has no such markings/cutouts. With my luck I know which one I'd get.

Yeah, I did not have much luck on Amazon finding exactly what I wanted. Could not be confident in what I saw. Someone on TW posted a pic of the mat that needed to be cut down for a SB (fits LB or SB, with a cut lien for SB), and a phot of the part number on the packaging, but when I entered the part number on Amazon, it just seemd to come up with generic results. Annoying as hell, but I think some other auto-specific vendors will be the way to go.

Pissed because I was trying to use our temporary Amazon Prime /free shipping deal.

You can find the OEM mat for under or around $100 if you aren't set on avoiding it.

Not Prime eligible for this link at least, but free shipping doesn't suck either.

My OEM Tacoma bed mat was $109 after my discount. Keeps stuff from sliding around really well. Was a pita before I had it for sure. Really no problem sliding stuff in and out.
