    I agree. I like that scene because it's just the regular infantrymen of the German Army. The ones in the trenches and although the enemy a common bond was shared between both sides. Now... had it been an SS general I'd of shot him dead on the spot.

    Yep. I agree. Especially if I'd have seen the concentration and death camps and heard about what happened at Malmedy.

    One of my favorite aspects of that series are the interviews with the actual Easy Company men. It's impossible to describe the respect and admiration I have for ordinary men who did extraordinary things. When you see those guys get choked up, it's damn near impossible not to do the same.

    My wife and I watched that the other night. If you don't tear up at what those men went through and how it affected their lives then there is something wrong with you.

    On a side note "Bull" Randleman (passed away in 2003) worked about 10 miles away from me. I just found that out today while searching since he was from Ar. Hell... I might have even met him as he used to work at a Caterpillar plant that we inspect. I wish I would have known or at least had the honor of meeting him. I don't know what I would have said. What could you say? Thank you for your service wouldn't even touch it.

    This is the sign of true leadership. Starts at 2:08. The first scene is hard to watch.

    That is a great scene. There are so many great scenes in the series it would be hard to select one for me but the hardest to watch was the forest in winter. How did the men survive that hell? I watch Band of Brothers every year and it still gets me. This one gets me "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother."

    I don't know if I can offer you any specific advice other than marriage requires two people that choose to make it work. There are no fairy tales. I got a relatively late start, which I think helped a lot. Got married at 26, and we made it almost 21 years (she died last August). There are always challenges that come up. Just like there are no perfect people, there are no perfect people for each other. Just varying degrees of compatibility.

    Thanks for the response, man. Also, I'm sorry to hear about your wife. My condolences.

    I agree with you completely with regards to compatibility. My current (and I hope my last) relationship is vastly better than my marriage was, in part because our compatibility is very good. Even at that, there are things that we need to watch with each other. That's where awareness, willingness to work, and the ability to wisely choose your battles comes in.

    Time to add lightness, as Colin Chapman would say.
