Your looks bad ass. I'll give these a try and if they are not super impressive I'll just return these new ones and get the ones you have. Simple as that.

I'm single with no kids. I get to do what ever the hell I want to do, when I want to do it.

My kids are older now and only need me to pay bills, but I still don't play a lot, maybe 10 to 20 hours per week depending on the weather.

Rob, that looks like a nice set, especially if you might do PC gaming. Says only stereo on consoles, though. The Sony ones have simulated surround sound if the game supports it, forget what they call it, 3DSS or something.

Anyone else sorry they loaded IOS 11? My cellphone battery used to easily go all day. Yesterday it went 8 hours.

not a chance, 11 aint ready yet....

when my "IT" guy (Dad) says its good, i'll go, maybe. 76yrs old and has or has had a good portion of the Mac arsenal from the beginning, i tend to listen to what he says.

he'll update ONE device and run everything he can on it to flush it out. he's got the time.

I ALWAYS wait for at least 2-3 weeks for them to make sure they get the kinks worked out before I ever load a new OS on my phone. I'll let others be the guinea pig.

Yeah, I've thought about signing up for the beta but then thought better of it. Even after, there are almost always some bugs in the system that I'd rather others find and deal with before I do. It's kind of like a video game. No game launches without bugs. That is one reason there is almost always a "day one" patch.

    :annoyed:

Got home and was all excited to use my new head phones, figured it would be plug and play. Since I am not a great tech guy I printed out the instructions at work and brought them home. Went through the setup and nothing was as they said in them. Pulled up youtube video's, I went through fucking 10 of them and none helped!!
After a motherfucking hour with no luck I gave up.

    FUCK!!!

I don't buy anything from hipster jackasses in turtlenecks. I live with mediocre.
I saw you on when I logged in but then you disappeared. Save yourself some grief, go by Walmart and grab an $87 pair of Sony Golds, or Platinum for a bit more. They just work and are pretty comfy to boot.

I only work every third day so I'll play either during the day sometimes or at night after everyone goes to bed. Figure of I go to bed late I can maybe grab a nap at work the next day. Used to play till 2 or 3 in the a.m. with the group on xbox. I haven't played in a week or so because of getting my website up and all the crap that goes along with it to get everything in order to ship stuff. I was playing Fallout 4 but then got Metal Gear Solid V and been hooked on it.

You said they only hook up through usb then bluetooth to your headset correct? If so you aren't doing something right in the settings.

These are the settings for mine

    Go to setting and devices

    Audio device

    Input device

    Then output device

Make sure they are all showing up as your headset. Then go into Sound and Screen and choose Output device. Make sure it shows your headset

Under the same Sound and screen choose Audio output settings

No matter which headsets you choose you will have to make these changes or at the very least check to make sure that they are reading your headset. Also make sure to use chat only for your headset even though the game sound will come through. Again, it doesn't matter what headset you choose. You will HAVE to make or check these settings for them to work properly (even the sony brand which I'm not impressed with). I much prefer the 5.1 surround sound and the amazing audio of the Astros. But you will pay a premium but it's worth it just for the sound. You don't realize what you miss until you buy a good set of headphones.

I'm still using the good old Polk Audio plug in headset. Have an issue every once in a while with peeps not hearing me but it's usually just a matter of adjusting the mic a little. I'd like to get a bluetooth set sometime but it just irritates me dealing with either batteries or having to keep them charged all the time.

Which is why I sit about 4' from mine with the 34" Curved Ultrawide 4k monitor so I don't have to deal with wireless.

    Yes, among other reasons.

Go to settings > general > background app refresh and toggle off apps you don’t need this for. Made a big difference for me.

    Still not great though.
