I thought you were talking about the output of the thyroid being low.

Either way, this is a highly treatable condition. Thyroid issues run in my wife's family, and she has fluctuated at times between the two (she's on all kinds of meds due to being a cancer survivor). So far they have not done any surgeries on her thyroid, but it is a bit enlarged -- just not to the point of messing with it other than taking Synthroid. Her father had his removed 10+ years ago and is doing fine, he's approaching 80.

Sucks to have to deal with, though. Just don't worry too much, worrying is probably worse for you than the actual condition.! Lots of dietary advice out on the interwebs, too.

I worked with a guy that had some thyroid issues and it messes with your mental stability also...I gave him a ride home because the boss said he wasnt safe to drive home. and the guy was "weird", talking some weird stuff, he basically said he didnt take his medication that day. and everyone could tell he wasnt right so they sent him home. But when he was taking his meds he was back to "his normal";)

Never a good time for this kinda news. I found the first obstacle I had to beat was myself. The what if's, then the dreaded coulda, shoulda, wanna's. Took a lesson from my dog & started livin' in "the moment". Things don't change but my outlook sure did. Wish you the Best.

Will do. Waiting on my wife to get home before I activate it because her's comes tomorrow and I'll be at work. I want to run her through it so she can activate her's without me here. Can't wait to see the new stuff on it.

Dark Sky (weather app) Best weather app out there. Will tell you to the min if it's going to rain at your location. And ProCam for taking RAW photos and being able to set the camera up anyway you like.

I already do. The whole no button thing is great! That screen though.

The face ID works great too. I can't wait to make a Apple Pay purchase. Haha

They improved the sound too. Damn thing is loud finally and it projects the sound all around the phone. We have a winner!

Something else that is coming out with the iPhone is if you have Apple Pay set up and a friend has Apple Pay set up on their phone, you can directly send money to each other. IE: sharing a cab, paying for a pizza or just a gift rather than go through a third party to pay. I really like that option.

Yep, thyroid issues are common and very treatable. Sometimes our body parts just quit working (as many in this thread are probably aware, wink). That could well be the case with yours. Try not to worry- let the docs do that. Easier said than done, I know.

Thyroid issues need to be addressed pronto, as the thyroid affects a whole bunch of things (mood, metabolism, the list is endless and it's critical stuff). It would also explain your weight loss. If you're having trouble getting something scheduled soon with a specialist, you can always ask your doc's office make a call to tell the specialist that "hey, this guy needs to be seen STAT". Sometimes you need to be a strong advocate for yourself in today's medical system. Don't be afraid to speak up, even if it's just to ease your mind.

The earliest I can get in is Jan 14. Thing is, I don’t feel bad at all. Got my chart and my white blood cell count is perfect so I felt a little better about that. Now it’s just a waiting game.

No. I’m sure they sound good but I think they look stupid. I bought a pair of Senso headphones and they are some of the best sounding in ear headphones I’ve ever owned (better than my Bowers and Wilkins) And they were a third of the price. They last all day too and are Bluetooth. Highly recommended.

These are the headphones that I've got. It is damn near impossible for them to come out of your ear because of the way they are made. I've also noticed that Beats puts out a set exactly like these. I mean identical. That said... I suppose there could be some internal changes that Beats did to them but I seriously doubt it and you're just paying for the name. Nevertheless, these are some of the best in ear headphones I've ever used and they don't fall out when you're sweaty from mowing the yard, exercising, etc. And the price it right for all that you get with them. They connect within 3 seconds and don't drop signal from at least 50' away from the phone.
