I've got my GoPro running 2.7k in ultrawide to take the largest image possible. I could run it in 4k but that would be overkill and would also take up more storage on the card. Hell... I could run it in 1080p and be just fine with the video for a dash cam but 2.7k seems to be a sweet spot.

Unless you are tinkering and experimenting a ton, there's no reason to own one now unless you are going into business. A guy I rode MTB with up in St Louis was a drafter/designer. He drew up handlebar and GoPro adapters for the Chinese LED riding lights and sells them on Shapeways, super cheap. My new bikes have 35mm handlebars (up from 31.8mm), so I asked if he could do one for the "new" standard. A couple days later he sent me a link. Amazing -- from request to my doorstep in less than a week!

My wife complained that Amazon was broken for a while yesterday. I stayed away. Pool going in soon, saving for all the "unexpected" crap that I know is going to go along with it.

About 15 years ago I bought a 24" plotter to cut vinyl with. I made an ungodly amount of money with it by printing stickers right after one of the Fast and Furious movies came out. I'd put a pair of them on ebay with a buy it now price of $5 and they would sell as fast as I put them up. The Nissan Nismo stickers sold the best and that was good because they were the easiest to make. I had about $.05 in material and then a stamp to mail the off with. About every 3 days I'd let my paypal account get up to a few hundred dollars and transfer the money into a separate account at my bank. It probably wasn't right since I didn't have the copyright to sell those stickers but at the time it seemed no one cared. Eventually I got tired of printing stickers all day each day that I was off. Then the plotter started acting up and I was going to need a new head and belt so I said screw it. It was good while it lasted and was a nice little income maker but I'm not sorry that I don't do it anymore.

Amazon was down quite a bit yesterday. It would just take you to a page with a dog on it.

Like she knows me or something. "rofl:

At least she isn't coming home to a new boat in the yard today. Or a new trailer, camper maybe?

Those are awesome. We had 3 of them, can't find mine after our move, so maybe 2 now. They sound great and are super tough.

I spent the last two days at Zion. I have to say, what a beautiful park but...Jesus Christ there was entirely TOO MANY PEOPLE!!!

You are forced to take a shuttle from the visitor center into the heart of the park and it is packed full of every nationality on the planet along with their “quirks” like being rude as fuck. It did take away from the experience but we made the most of it and got a few hikes in and played in the virgin river. There are some seriously fat fucking squirrels in there too. Aggressive too, they will come at you if you have food in your hand.

We are in Bryce Canyon tonight and will explore some tomorrow.

So I have a house in Durango, CO. Quick drive to Moab, etal. Time to go is at Christmas. Went with my kids (20’s) last year and it was awesome. Next time I’m taking my 80 series and 4 wheeling in the snow. This pic always makes me laugh...

Only reason I’m doing it is because I’m on a paid vacation of sorts. I’m PCS’ing (permanent change of station) to CA so I decided to make the most of it with the kiddo. He was itching to visit the Grand Canyon and Zion.

I’m with you though, the parks have got insane with the people and it really, really takes away from the experience.
